Antibioticatherapie vermindert de duur van de symtomen, de duur van fecale excretie en infectiviteit

In geval van ernstige ziekte of aanwezig in de creche, residentiële of ziekenhuisopname: antibiotica starten binnen 3 dagen van onset

Therapie / dagdosis

Therapie (3 dagen): 

azithromycine 10 mg/kg PO elke 24 uur (maximum 500 mg per dag)

Duur: 3 dagen

Opmerkingen

of (2° keuze): clarithromycine 7.5 mg/kg PO elke 12 uur (maximum 1000 mg per dag

Duur: 5 dagen

Therapie (1 dag):

azithromycine 30 mg/kg PO éénmalig
